New Mexico Museum of Space History Expansion

The objective of this project was to provide a schematic design to aid the fundraising efforts for a new exhibit hall at the New Mexico Museum of Space History in Alamogordo, NM.  The design includes temporary and permanent exhibit spaces, a large two-story high rocket exhibit, a centrifuge that simulates supersonic flight for both museum patrons and pilots from the nearby Hollomon Air Force Base, a large workshop area and an outdoor amphitheater.  The dynamic forms of the exhibit hall serve to passively heat and cool the building in response to the high desert climate.
