Mayfield High School Athletics Facility

This project includes a major overhaul of the existing facilities of the Mayfield High School Athletics Department.  New construction includes an auxiliary gymnasium, baseball and softball locker room, classroom/ film room, and support spaces.  The former, poorly-functioning auxiliary gym building was converted to male locker rooms, coaches’ offices and a large weight room.  The existing, wood gymnasium floor was utilized under a new rubber floor to provide superior shock-absorption for the weight room. The volume of the converted gym was utilized with the addition of a 1,500 SF storage loft.  The west side of this building was expanded to include a new film room with seating space for 50 students.  Several of the existing spaces in the central gymnasium and locker room facility were renovated as part of this project.   The larger locker room facilities were reconfigured for female athletics, the former weight room was converted to a new dance/aerobics Studio, and extensive re-roofing and HVAC overhauls were performed.
